14th TeleGroup Infosec Conference: A Fusion of Innovation and Security on the Adriatic Coast
On Thursday and Friday, September 26-27, the 14th TeleGroup Infosec conference was successfully held
in the inspiring atmosphere of the Adriatic coast, riding the waves of Cyber Security innovations.
"Security is a global challenge – as our systems become increasingly interconnected, so do the risks we share", said Dejan Vukšić, Security and Defense Advisor to the President of Montenegro, during his opening address at the 14th TeleGroup Infosec conference held at the Avala hotel in Budva.
"We live in a time where digital technologies not only shape our daily lives but also every aspect of business, industry, and society as a whole. The advancement of technology, which has brought us numerous benefits, also brings new challenges, among which cyber security is one of the most critical. This is precisely the essence of this conference – bringing together leading minds and experts to jointly address these challenges and create solutions that will make our digital future safer", emphasized Dejan Vukšić.
A dynamic two-day agenda, over 120 participants from across the region, support from partners and leading global IT Security vendors, along with key topics, made this conference one of the largest regional ICT business events, gathering top experts and innovators in the field of Information Security.
How to protect critical infrastructure, personal and corporate data protection, the lack of skilled and educated personnel, insufficient education in this field, compliance with DORA & NIS2 regulations, Cloud Security, the impact of artificial intelligence on day-to-day security management, and how to secure funding for innovative Cyber Security projects through the Horizon program were just some of the topics that garnered the most attention from attendees.
As part of a parallel session by the Women4Cyber Foundation Chapter, joint activities were defined to promote gender equality and raise awareness of the importance of Cyber Security and the inclusion of women in this growing field.
"This was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on how well we’ve chronicled the development of an industry. Once just a segment of the IT industry, Cyber Security has now grown into one of the largest and most vital sectors of the global economy. Thank you to our partners and speakers for their participation and support, and thank you to our guests for their trust and interest in the conference, as collective security is a challenge and responsibility of all of us. See you next year, when we will likely face new challenges but also present solutions for a safer Cyber environment", said Aleksandar Vratonjić Gligorijević, Chief Marketing Officer at TeleGroup.
The TeleGroup Infosec conference was launched with the goal of raising the level of Information Security in the Western Balkans region and has become one of the most significant IT Security events in the area. As an IT company focused on security technologies, we aimed to support the efforts of regional IT associations in drawing the attention of government institutions and the public to Information Security as a critical resource for every country, as well as the increasing sophisticated cyber threats that could jeopardize the stability of the regional economy and society. TeleGroup organized its first conference in 2011 in the Republic of Srpska, and in Serbia in 2013.
